Hialeah's Vista Memorial Gardens hosts hundreds of police officers and city personnel honoring fallen officers, Roger Castillo and Amanda Haworth, this morning.
On Monday a joint memorial service for the officers will be held at 11 a.m. at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami. The service is open to the public.
To facilitate the procession, Biscayne Boulevard will be closed to traffic 9 a.m. and then before the interment at Vista Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 14200 NW 57th Ave. - Via the Miami Herald
As you can imagine it was a somber scene and not really the appropriate place for photos so we got what we could without intruding on the memorial. Our hearts go out to the families of the fallen officers.
If you would like to help, please make your checks payable to The Dade County PBA Love Fund, with officers Castillo and Haworth names written in the memo section of the check. Donations should be mailed to 10680 NW 25 Street, Miami, FL 33172.
