2010 Hialeah Census

Sorry for not updating the blog sooner but we were really busy counting all the people in our house for the 2010 census. Bro, talk about taking forever! It's not easy turning a single family home into 12 different apartments. You know how that goes, right?

Anyways, now that we're back we've got a fun little series called Latino or Americano. We're going to spotlight houses across Hialeah and you have to guess if they are owned by a Latino or an Americano. Oh come on, it'll be fun!

Ok, so what's your guess? Latino or Americano?

My mind tells me Latino, but my heart tells me "old school" Americano. I thought I was one of the last one's out, but perhaps someone still flies "Old Glory" in Hialeah for historical purposes ;-)

Adios Muchacho...and don't be gone for so long again. I miss seeing the pictures about the place I used to call home.

This is a tough one. Although I don't think a Latino would have the nautical theme going on....I say Americano.

American, for sure.

Americano! Notice the obvious absence of a San Lazaro statue.

I'm going to take a guess and say Americano due to the big mouth bass mailbox but in Hialeah - anything is possible.

The ugly trees and the crumbling wall make me think "Americano". Any self respecting Latino would have already knocked that hot mess down. They'd put up a chain link fence and pour cement all over that front lawn.

Ok this picture is like 2 years old but I thougth Americano once I saw it. They always have some sort of weird structure and/or barrier from the world going on. SOrtof liek they are bugging out in plain sight.
